A long but interesting route through Mimizan that offers several places of cultural interest and a walk around the beautiful lake of Aureilhan.

Of particular interest, in our opinion, is that the route passes through the botanical garden of Mimizan, an inlet of land on the lake itself which has more than 300 species of plants, many of them exotic. In fact, it was rated in 2001 as one of the "most beautiful flowering sites in France". Since 1999, Mimizan has been awarded its fourth Flower in the French National Flower Towns and Villages Competition thanks to this garden. It is definitely worth a visit.

We will start the route at this point where two of Mimizan's main cultural buildings are located, the Porch Bell Tower ("Le clocher porche"), on the right of the picture, and the Museum of the History of Mimizan (the white building on the left).

There is a small car park next to the museum and, in any case, the street itself has a dedicated verge for parking, so it is usually easy to find a place to park your car.

Start walking along the asphalted road just behind the Church of the Bell Tower, which will take you back to the same road, the Avenue de la Plage, just by the cemetery.
